Visa Status
To study full-time in the 10-Week Intensive ESL program, you must have an F-1 (student) visa. If you are in the U.S. on a B-1/B-2 (tourist) visa, F2 visa, or other visa which does not allow full-time study, you may not be enrolled in more than 17 hours of classes per week. You may choose any combination of classes that add up to 17 hours or fewer. Details about part-time classes can be found here.
If you have questions about your visa status and/or requirements, please email our Immigration Officials at ImmigrationOfficials@ce.uci.edu or visit them during their advising hours. Walk-in advising is available Monday through Thursday between 1pm - 3pm in CE1.
